I’m participating in this blog hop! See the rules here. Follow me however you wish! And if you do, be sure to stop by this post and say hi! Let me know you followed me and I’ll follow you! Isn’t it marvelous how that works?
Q: Bookselling Time: Go to your biggest bookcases. Go to the second shelf from the top and pick out the sixth book from the left. Handsell that book to us – even if you haven’t read it or if you hated it. (if you don’t have bookcases, done have six books on one shelf, etc, pick a book at random)
So why should you read it? Well, don’t let the fact that it’s a Middle Grade series put you off. It’s a wonderful fantasy, full of magic and deception and clever riddles and awesome characters. It has a lot of fun twists and can get quite dark! It brings to life a whole world that exists right under your very nose and will have you out hunting for Brownies and Boggarts and sprites and even trolls in your home and backyard. It is very cleverly written and fascinating to follow the adventures of the Grace children when they find the magical and very dangerous Field Guide. And if you can’t get enough of the series, there is even a sequel series and an actual Field Guide
so you can familiarize yourself with the magical world free from danger. Hopefully…..
Nah, don’t worry. I’ve read the Guide cover to cover and I’m still safe. For now.
