DAY 22   My biggest regret Well, I have a lot of things I probably SHOULD regret, but I make it a personal goal to live life without regrets. I most certainly have made ‘mistakes’. I don’t like to look […]

And if you do, be sure to stop by this post and say hi! Let me know you followed me and I’ll follow you! Isn’t it marvelous how that works? I guess you can start at any time; the point is to do it for 30 days. So, without further ado…..Day 23. DAY 23   If I won the lottery I’d save a bunch (over half), give some of the rest to friends and family, buy a lot of books and perhaps a house with a large library to store them all […]

DNF: How to Time Travel by Louis A. Del Monte

DNF: How to Time Travel by Louis A. Del Monte

Because I did not finish this book, and because it is nonfiction, I will not follow the usual review format. First, I’ll give my reason for not finishing. I don’t think I completely understood the content of the book; I simply saw the subject and thought ‘oh how interesting’ and requested it. I didn’t expect it to be so full of science. And believe me, I enjoyed quite thoroughly the parts that were NOT about science, such as the anecdotal evidence of time travel. But the minute science terms were introduced, my brain went fuzzy […]

May 2014 Interview of the Month: Jillian from Jillian’s Books
Posted on May 28, 2014 in Interview of the Month / 0 Comments

I’m so excited to be bringing this feature back! Here today I’m interviewing Jillian from Jillian’s Books, a good blogging buddy of mine. She will also have an interview with me on her blog soon. 1. When/why did you start blogging? When I made a book blog last April, people assumed I was new. But one year ago, I made a really awful book blog that I wasn’t ready to do yet. The blog I use actively now is a remake of my old one. I created it because NO ONE in my family loved reading. […]

Top Ten Tuesday #8

Top Ten Tuesday #8

To learn more about Top Ten Tuesday or see the future topics, click here! This week is a freebie, so I chose Top Ten Books for an Adult Book Club. This came about when my mother told me she wasn’t happy with the types of books her book club was choosing (a reason why I don’t like book clubs). She asked me to come up with a better list, and I did. The thing with her book club is that they aren’t fans of YA or fantasy, the things I and a lot of other bloggers […]

Ernestine by Claire Nicholas White

I really liked the writing. It had this artistic, poetic quality for the most part. Some lines, especially toward the beginning, I loved so much I repeated out loud to myself. The only complaint I had was the editing. Now, to be sure, the copy I had was such an ADVANCED reader copy that it wasn’t even in book form yet. It was 90 pages of printer paper, printed straight from the computer. So a lot of the editing was missing, especially with quotation marks. Those were absolutely out of control. But I know they’ll […]
