30 Day Blogging Challenge Day 19

Posted May 25, 2014 in challenge / 0 Comments

This fun challenge is from Live, Love, Simple and I found out about it because The Reading Diaries is doing it. It seems like a great way to spice up my blogging life. I guess you can start at any time; the point is to do it for 30 days.
So, without further ado…..Day 19.
DAY 19
My favorite movie
I have several! I like most movies I watch. Notable ones include Holes and the Harry Potter series….my favorites being 6 and 3. Harry Potter 6 was the first movie in which I noticed a lot of humor, its predecessors all being serious and dark. It was a lovely change. And I like the third story the best. As for the books, 7 is my favorite.
I also like Cloud Atlas and Moonrise Kingdom. Those are movies that are beautiful, mysterious, and make you think. And cry. Although these days I cry at most movies (and books) at some point or other…
And I love The Hunger Games and Catching Fire. I cried equally much at both. I liked Catching Fire better than the book version. The first in the series was the best book.
How can I have forgotten to mention? I love the Alice in Wonderland movies. The ’51 is my favorite. The Disney one. The music and animation is so much fun, as well as the story adaptation. The ’99 is very good because it follows the story almost exactly, although the animation/puppetry is a bit oddly done. The ’10 was very good and dark, but nothing like the books. However, I loved it because it was mad. Crazy. Absolutely bonkers.
Speaking of Tim Burton, I LOVE his movies. From the older Edward Scissorhands and Sweeney Todd, The Nightmare Before Christmas and the Corpse Bride, James and the Giant Peach, 9…..Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory…I love them all. He’s a genius with animation and concepts.
I have a soft spot for claymation and the sort of animation that is The Nightmare Before Christmas, the Corpse Bride, and Coraline. I just loved Coraline. It’s so dark and still haunts me to this day. It HAUNTS me.
I also love all the classic Disney movies (and some newer ones). Especially the music. Disney music is my absolute favorite and I can sing TONS of Disney soundtracks. It’s crazy. I have them all memorized. (I’ve also memorized The Nightmare Before Christmas music. That’s absolutely wonderful also.) I love the Disney princess movies, especially Beauty and the Beast. Belle is my favorite. She basically is me. She lives in France and loves to read. That’s me in the future. I also have soft spots for Jasmine, Ariel, and Pocahontas (though not a princess).
So if you’re participating in this, whenever, link your posts below; I’m curious. If you’re not, what are your favorite movies?
