I’m participating in this blog hop! See the rules here. Follow me however you wish! And if you do, be sure to stop by this post and say hi! Let me know you followed me and I’ll follow you! Isn’t it marvelous how that works?
Question of the Week: Share! Tell us about one of your hobbies that is NOT reading.
I’ll start by listing the things I’ve quit: ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, swimming, gymnastics, soccer.
I am a Girl Scout, but I’m a rather lazy one. I play and compose for the piano, and I used to teach for a few years. I’ve been playing piano about ten years now. I’m good, but not in the least ambitious.
A major hobby of mine was sculpting. I still have an art room filled with all kinds of supplies I bought but never used and half-finished (and some finished) projects. That was the subject of my first blog, Awesome Clay Sculpting. I haven’t updated it in forever. I also created a YouTube channel so I could post tutorials, and I did a few before losing interest. I do all kinds of art occasionally, from jewelry making to wire sculpting to felt and yarn- knitting and such. I even draw sometimes (especially on myself) but I dislike painting (unless it’s a 3D object). I tend to stay away from 2D stuff. I’m a sculptor. It’s easier for me to work in 3D. I use mostly polymer clay (I’m a miniaturist) but I don’t mind using ceramics.
I love music and movies and only a few TV shows. I pretty much only watch cartoons these days, because I don’t watch much TV at all. I mostly read.
I’m also a casual video gamer. All my guy friends are gamers. I don’t play games with a lot of violence, usually, but I like platformers (any Mario game), puzzle games (the Professor Layton series and 999), and virtual simulation games (Animal Crossing, Sims games). I have been known to enjoy COD, but only when my friends play.
I also bake, but usually only to impress people.
I go through phases where I enjoy a certain hobby more than the other. Reading takes up most of the time now.
If you want to follow my blog, you can follow via GFC, Twitter (@Firefox9799), like my Facebook Page (Awesome Book Assessment), subscribe to my newsletter, or all of the above! I’m also on Goodreads (Alicia Notarainni). You can find me pretty much anywhere! (Almost)
