This week is a freebie, so I chose Top Ten Books for an Adult Book Club. This came about when my mother told me she wasn’t happy with the types of books her book club was choosing (a reason why I don’t like book clubs). She asked me to come up with a better list, and I did. The thing with her book club is that they aren’t fans of YA or fantasy, the things I and a lot of other bloggers prefer, so I limited it to the best adult books I’ve read (which came out to be a lot, so there are a lot of special mentions at the end).

I loved The Paris Wife and Water for Elephants. Great topic! I did the top ten books I love but haven’t reviewed. Have a great week!

Great list! There’s tons I want to read on here – The Paris Wife especially. I haven’t come across The Secret Life of Josephine but it sounds great! Thanks for sharing!

Great list. I agree, those are good book club books, and in fact some of them have been selections from some book clubs I’m in.

Reviews from a Bookworm

Great topic. I have read and loved a lot of these myself and definitely agree that they would be perfect book club choices. The Help and The Book Thief really blew me away, Water for Elephants too. I love Jodi Picoult’s books and Change of Heart is one of my favourites. I also really loved Life of Pi, which made it onto my list this week. Here’s my post, I decided to go with my favourite mind-blowing book endings.
