The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read.

I’m participating in this blog hop! See the rules here. Follow me however you wish! And if you do, be sure to stop by this post and say hi! Let me know you followed me and I’ll follow you! Isn’t it marvelous how that works?

Question of the Week: What is the biggest city you live near (or interesting landmark)? Show us a postcard picture.

I live near Houston, Texas. Only about 45 minutes away.
News flash! Houston is actually….really boring!
I guess they’ve got a zoo and an aquarium and a theater and a stadium, but that’s about it. They aren’t the most spectacular. I think the city I live in (more of a town, really) is more interesting and much nicer.
So what city do you live near or in? Share your links or just comment below! Happy FF!

I think most of us think where we live is a bit boring, but I suppose that has to do with the familiarity of the place. Thanks for sharing.

Hey! I think towns are much nicer, too. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, and even though we’re known for The Strip, the suburbs are so much nicer! And quieter (much better for reading).

Have you ever visited Houston as if you were a tourist, Alicia? I did that a few years ago here in Geneva with my kids – and we saw our city in a different light :) I think when we live in a place, we are so used to it it’s difficult to see what’s special about it.
I’m a new bloglovin’ follower. Have a fantastic Friday.

I spent basic training in San Antonio, but I’ve never been to Houston! It looks like a much better place though! New follower on bloglovin :)

I agree with moonglint where she says most people think cities near where they live are boring. I live right outside of Philadelphia and it always confuses me that people come here for vacation because I think it’s pretty boring. I think it’s because I never spend time walking around like a tourist would and like I do in other cities.

Lol, We used to go to Houston for family vacations when I was little. I’ve never been to Vegas, though.
