Thanks to Jillian from Jillian’s Books for tagging me.
Note: I don’t really auto-buy books at all. My buying is usually pretty sporadic. I try not to buy books at all, actually, since I own so many that I haven’t read or have to re-read in order to review. It’s quite awful. I have over 400 books and I’ve probably read only half. So basically this list is of authors I try to read the most books from. Actually, it might even be just authors I love and will read more books from in the future, if they write more. I’m not going to include authors with really long series’ (such as Sara Shepard with Pretty Little Liars) because that’s cheating.
1) Laini Taylor
I’ve only read the first in this series, but already I know that I would read anything she wrote. As Hazel (The Fault in Our Stars) so aptly put it, I would read her grocery lists.
2) Kristin Cashore
Well, she IS my favorite author, after all. The Seven Kingdoms series wasn’t nearly enough for me and I will be reading whatever she writes in the future.
3) Lewis Carroll
Haha. I know he’s dead but I’m making it my life goal to read everything he ever wrote. I own an anthology of his work but I haven’t read it completely yet. I’ve read the 2 Alice in Wonderland books (and seen nearly every movie version) and a few poems by him. As you probably already know, I have an obsession.
4) Rick Riordan
Can’t beat Percy Jackson. I love his Greek mythology series’. I haven’t finished the Heroes of Olympus series yet but I will. I disliked the Kane Chronicles, but I like his other books.
You may be wondering why J.K. Rowling isn’t on this list. I do love the Harry Potter series dearly. But I haven’t read any other books by her outside of the HP series and their companion books. I might someday, but they aren’t top priority.
It’s a pretty short list. I almost added so many other authors, but then realized I wouldn’t read ALL of their books, just most. So special mention to Cornelia Funke and Jennifer Kohout.
