This week: Top Ten Characters I Would Want With Me On a Deserted Island
Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1)The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1)Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1)The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle
1. Katsa from Graceling. She’s super skilled and Graced with survival, so I imagine she’d be EXTREMELY useful. Plus she’s a lot like me and I’m sure we’d be best friends in no time.
2. Similarly, I’d want Katniss from The Hunger Games trilogy. Also pretty talented at survival. Can’t say she’d be the best company, but I’d definitely want her on my side.
3. Percy Jackson from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. He’s pretty skilled with water, so naturally if we were on an island it’d be cool to have him around. He’s a cool dude. We’d totes be chillin.
4. Karou from Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I can’t possibly explain just how much I love her. She rivals Katsa as my favorite character of all time. She may not be the best fighter, but I just love her personality.
5. Doctor Dolittle from The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle. This totally came out of nowhere but it’s so true…he’d be great on a deserted island because he’s such a fantastic naturalist and he’s so great with animals. I read this book AGES ago (it’s time for a re-read) but I loved it so much and he’d be great to have.
Life of PiA Great and Terrible Beauty (Gemma Doyle, #1)Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-GlassIsland of the Blue Dolphins (Island of the Blue Dolphins, #1)Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)
6. Richard Parker (the tiger) from Life of Pi. I mean, who WOULDN’T want to be trapped with (*ahem* I mean accompanied by) a powerful tiger? That would certainly spice things up a little. Plus I love tigers.
7. Gemma Doyle from A Great and Terrible Beauty. Eh, why not. I’d love to have access to the Realms every now and then.
8. Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Because for some reason she is my ultimate role model. I just have a thing for nonsense…y’all know that.
9. Karana from Island of the Blue Dolphins. Another survivor.
10. Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series. Because obviously he’d be able to just zap us right off the island. Problem solved!
Wow, no one just for ‘pure hotness factor’? Ha! Interesting. Nah, if I was on a deserted island, I’d be much more concerned with getting OFF the island. It’s just harder to focus on romance when you’re worried about survival.

Doctor Doolittle is a fantastic idea! I hadn’t even thought of that but it’d be so useful!
