Emoji Book Tag

Posted August 15, 2014 in Tag / 2 Comments

Hey hey hey! Tag time. Thanks to my blogging bestie Jillie from Jillian’s Books, I’ll be participating in the Emoji Book Tag! I’ll be using Pusheen the cat because I love cats. The goal is to match emojis with books.

He sleeps with a pillow  The Road

The Road by Cormac McCarthy made me very sleepy. It was just really boring. For some reason it’s my friend’s favorite book which I think is ridiculous. We had to read it for school and it was definitely one of the duller ones.

He cries with tears  The Book Thief

I doubt I have to explain why The Book Thief by Markus Zusak was so sad.

Con cuore  Lola and the Boy Next Door (Anna and the French Kiss, #2)

I really super-loved Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins, even more than Anna and the French Kiss. I fell in love with contemporary romance when I read this book! It’s so relatable and beautiful.

Gatto colto che legge con occhiali  Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1)

I could not put down Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. It was so amazing. I seriously loved it and need to finish the series. I literally could not stop reading it!

Ride  Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, #1)

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney books are the most hilarious I’ve ever read. They are for a much younger audience but that doesn’t stop me. I laugh on every single page and sometimes I even have to put the book down so I can laugh out loud for several minutes. Yes this happens quite often. I don’t even know what it is that makes them so funny but they are.

Con occhi spalancati   The Diary of Amy, the 14-Year-Old Girl Who Saved the Earth

The ARC I received of The Diary of Amy by Scott Erickson left me with the biggest case of what-did-I-just-read. The ending was pretty much out of nowhere even though the whole story sort of made sense until that point. I honestly can’t be specific because it would be a spoiler.

Gatto gigante obeso  Salt & Storm

Salt & Storm by Kendall Kulper. Final reaction? NO. Just no.

Con gomitolo di lana  Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

Probably the silliest book I’ve ever read but I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT and it’s my absolute favorite: Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Can’t get enough of anything Wonderland-related.

HURRAY I’M SO GLAD YOU DID THIS :D I love Pusheen the Cat – she even has a book of herself in the store! I agree with what you said in The Book Thief and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I loved the Wimpy Kid series too because somehow Greg’s embarrassing moments made me feel good about myself (haha). The Diary of Amy looks really interesting though. I loved the books you put here! :)
