"It was an age of deceit. You never knew when a trusted ally would turn, bare his fangs, and rip you into pieces. The vampires and vampaneze were at war - The War of the Scars. Three vampires were sent by Mr. Desmond Tiny to hunt the Vampaneze Lord, including me, Darren Shan. I'm a half-vampire."
As his battles with the vampaneze continue, Darren Shan is framed as public enemy number one.
I lied. I totally ended up reading books 7-9 in one day.
It was horrible! First there was this huge mess with the police thinking they’re murderers and everything. That’s not a new situation, but it’s extremely annoying. I don’t like it when normal people get involved in paranormal affairs. Ughhh there are so many people involved here. It was the meshing of so many worlds. Not really my cup of tea, but it did culminate into something big. Then there’s the fighting, and the trickery, and the death (such tragedy!)…and the plot twist. I mean, I knew it all along, but it didn’t make it any less horrible. This book was not a pleasant one to live through.
I’m not saying the book itself was horrible, but the plot took a rather nasty turn.
